From Crisis To Disaster

Started this morning thinking we had made some progress with Cherry's PEG situation and am now into the afternoon where it is clear that for the one step forward we thought we'd taken, we are now slipping ten steps back. Ten days, actually, as that is the length of the antibiotic course we have to give her (along with Nistatin to counteract the candida growth)to eradicate the infection that is in the tube and probably in her too, before we can hope to have movement on the PEG change front. I want to cry. Mostly I want her to feel well and be eating and enjoying her food again. I want to be able to concentrate on growing her life, not stopping growths in her PEG. Angels xx
